Mailbox Post Policy:

• Kalmar Township will install a swing-away mailbox post for any resident if the post is to be placed on township right-of-way.  If the resident lives on an Olmsted County or on a privately owned road, the township is not able to install a mailbox post and the resident should contact Olmsted County or the property developer for assistance.

• For residents on township roads, a safety compliant swing-away arm mailbox post will be installed for a fee of $125. This includes the post only; the resident is responsible for procuring and mounting the actual mailbox.  The Township does not sell posts to residents wanting a do-it-yourself installation.
